What inspired you to start blogging?

I started getting really interested in natural skincare and healthy eating a few years ago, and it was really my friends who inspired me to start blogging. I was always talking about different DIY skincare steps I recommended, and they encouraged me to start sharing my knowledge online.

What drives you to keep blogging?

I suppose what drives me the most is my own interest in what I’m writing about. I think you need that passion for your topic of choice if you’re going to have a successful blog. It shows in your writing! I also love the fact that what I’m writing might help others girls or guys who may be struggling with skin problems, that’s definitely something that really drives me to keep blogging.

What will readers find on your blog?

You will find plenty of DIY natural skincare tips and tricks, as well as healthy recipes. What you eat is just as important as what you put onto your skin when trying to overcome skin problems. I try to have a good balance of both topics on the blog! Some of my recent posts have been about the best oils to use for your skin, and guilt free almond butter cups.

Describe your perfect day!

Wake up early and go for a long jog, have a huge relaxing bubble bath afterwards, cook a giant healthy chilli and have friends over to feast together! Go for a pint in Murphys, a small bar in Galway, watch movies on the couch with my boyfriend, put on a homemade face mask, go star gazing in the back garden with dad before bed.

Where do you shop?

Online. It’s too easy, my wallet certainly hates me for it!

What are your 5 beauty essentials you can’t live without? Jojoba oil, coconut oil, rosewater, pink/purple lipsticks, sleep!

What should be in every women’s wardrobe this summer? I wouldn’t really be one to follow the trends (or know much about them!), but what I do know is that denim shirts and skirts are everywhere and really back in fashion. So I’ll be fishing mine out from the attic!

What do you wish you had more of in your life?

Visits to my friends who live in Spain, Germany, The Uk, and Holland!

What’s your favourite ‘me time’ activity?

I love to sing and play the guitar, I could easily spend two hours doing this without even realising, it’s extremely therapeutic!

You have a night off and unlimited funds: what do you do?

Bring all my Galway and local friends for a big meal in Thai Gardens, my favourite restaurant in the city (and of all time!), rent a function room for the night and ask Fourtet to fly over and DJ the night away. Oh and buy everyone a monocle.

What are your top 3 favourite places in Ireland?

Galway, when it’s sunny! There are such great vibes in the city and so many places to sit around and relax with friends over a pint/coffee/lunch. Kerry is amazing and so scenic, my friends and I went on a sunny Kerry road trip a few years ago and it’s one of my favourite memories of all time! Donegal, where my boyfriend is from, is a beautiful place too. It’s such a peaceful and serene place to escape to for a weekend, the last time we were there we visited Slieve League, one of the highest cliffs in Europe, absolutely breathtaking!

What’s your favourite holiday destination and why should we go there?

Without a doubt, Toronto! I lived there for a year (2 years ago) and I miss it so much. It’s such an amazing city. The music scene is out of this world, every week someone brilliant will be performing. The city has so many quirky bars theaters, and hidden charms. Toronto Islands are unbelievably beautiful, especially Ward Island. You take a short ferry ride over, and can spend hours walking around looking at these beautiful colourful little wooden houses and pretty little walkways. And to top it all off, the people of Toronto are so friendly, which makes a huge difference when visiting/living in a city. I can’t wait to go back and visit!

Which two other blogger would you like to see on the blog?

‘Into The West Blogger Network’ and Bubz Beauty!
