So here’s the second part of our New York trip.
If you are a food lover like Mr. Skd and myself, make sure to head to the Chelsea market – a foodie person’s heaven! Plenty of restaurants, cafes and artisan market stalls – just divine. It does get very busy so try to go early as it will be less crowded. After having a nice breakfast / lunch /dinner, burn off tose calories while taking a walk along the high line. The high line is a 2.33 km long an elevated section of a former New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line and was re-designed as a recreational park. It’s a great walk and gives you a great view over New York.
I won’t be writing anything about sights or tours or what to do when in New York since there are many books and blog posts out there telling you all this but I would like to recommend on tour that we went on this time around: New York Free Tours By Foot: They offer various walking tours through NY and you’ll get to know New York just that little bit better through the eyes of a true New Yorker. The tours are free but you donate at the end of the tour what you think it was worth to you. They have a huge selection of tours and we really enjoyed ours, so if you have a day or to spare (and take a break from the shopping) that’s what I would do.
Have you been to New York? What’s your favourite must do and see and your favourite place to shop and eat?
