As so of you might already know, we spent our NYE in New York. Mr. SKD had a milestone birthday in December and wasn’t very keen on having a big party – instead he wanted us to go to New York for a few days. Since we spent Christmas in Germany, we decided to go right after – which happened to be New Years Eve. We flew into NY at 3pm in the afternoon, so we had plenty of time to check into the hotel in Manhattan, get ready and have a cocktail before heading to Eleven Madison Square Garden ( the real reason for this trip) for dinner and New Years celebrations. Eleven Madison Square Garden has been on the top 50 restaurants in the world for years and Mr. SKD has wanted to go for a long time. We had a fantastic night!
We stayed at the Hotel Boutique Grand Central, just a 2 min walk from Grand Central Station – perfect for exploring the city.
We have both been to New York before so we weren’t in any rush to see as many things as possible. Since it was just after Christmas, all shops still head their Christmas window displays which was just magical! i just loved Macy’s display and Saks Fifth Avenue.
I took so many photos! Some more in NY part II.
