I haven’t seen my sister for ages! It’s been about 7 month ago that we got to catch up for a week and before that a long time due to both of us living so far apart. She is living with her husband in the States now and before that I was in Fiji and she was in Germany, so catching up hasn’t been easy for a few years. We try to skype at least once the week but it’s just not as good as sitting down with a bottle of bubbles and having a proper catch up. Anyway, for my birthday last week, she decided to come over to Ireland and book a girls weekend away just for the two of us.
We left early Saturday morning and headed to Tralee. Tralee! I know that doesn’t sound exciting or fancy at all – but it sure didn:t disappoint. We stopped on the way for lunch in Killarney and then headed down to Tralee. We arrived at Ballygarry House just an hour before my spa treatments started. I chose to have a hydrotherapy and a 45 min full body massage. So relaxing! The spa is really nice and the staff were fantastic. The Nadur spa is connected to the hotel and gets very busy. they were fully booked for the next day, so if you go make sure to book well in advance. We spend the rest off the night talking, having manicures and pedicures and some delicious cheese & wine with it. It was just great!
The next morning after having a long sleep in, we headed out to explore beautiful Dingle. The photos don’t do justice on how beautiful Kerry is! I’ll be going back there soon.
Ballygarry House is just outside Tralee only minutes from the town centre. The rooms are a nice size and the bathroom is really spacious. Ballygarry House was recently voted on Tripadvisor as on of the top ten hotels in Ireland.
