So here we go. The first week is pretty much over. The first few days we were still holidaying in New York which made the exercise part quite easy since we were walking all day but not so much the eating healthier and drinking less. It is hard on holidays, isn’t it?
While in New York we visited a lot of juice and salad bars and cafes that promote healthy food. One that really stood out was Organic Avenue. The cafes are bright and modern. Organic Avenue’s salads and juices don’t just look fantastic, they actually taste great as well. All with the big advantage of being low calorie and full of vitamins and flavour. You can by their book at all shops as well. I liked their concept so much, that I bought the book and did finished reading it in just over two days. Denis Mari – the founder of Organic Avenue – writes about her story on becoming vegan and you learn a lot about new super foods and cleansing as well.
I’ll try some recipes from her book over the next few weeks and I’ll let you know how I got on.
Other than taht the week has just been super busy. The kids are back to school, I am back to work and working a few hours over the weekend as well and helping Mr. SKD to work on his business plan and doing a lot of research for his exiting new project which I’ll share more with you over the next few month.
I hope you are all having a great weekend and taking some time for yourself with a glass of bubbles x x x
